Leave a Gift in your Will

Thank you for considering leaving a gift to The Hospital Saturday Fund in your Will. Your legacy will play an important role in improving the health of people most in need, now and in the future.

What can you give?

A percentage gift – you may wish to give a percentage of your estate to HSF.
A residual gift – you can give the remainder of your estate after you have provided for loved ones.
A pecuniary gift – you can also leave a specific sum of money.
A gift of a named asset – for example property that we can sell on your behalf.
A gift of shares – these can be sold immediately, or added to our endowment to support health charities for years to come.

How can you leave HSF a gift in your will?

If you have not yet written your Will, we recommend you speak to a solicitor who can ensure your estate is handled in accordance with your wishes. Your solicitor can also advise you on how leaving a charitable legacy can lower the Inheritance Tax payable on your estate. The Law Society website can assist in finding a solicitor if necessary – www.lawsociety.org.uk

If you already have a Will you can add a Codicil without rewriting the whole Will. This is a short statement that will be read at the same time as your Will. It needs to be witnessed and kept together with your Will.

You are not required to inform us if you decide to leave a legacy gift to The Hospital Saturday Fund. However, if you are happy to hear from us, we would be delighted to thank you and keep you updated on our work.
